In the beginning of March 2020, the production of SAWDUST, one of our ongoing film projects, was postponed due to COVID-19. This film supports a nonprofit called There is Hope, founded by an outstanding leader, former refugee and incredible human, Innocent Magambi. There is Hope was founded in 2006 and provides academic and vocational programs to refugees in Dzaleka Camp, Malawi.
Around this same time, we received a message of despair from Innocent that later turned into one of the most incredibly inspiring stories during COVID-19. We decided to turn it into an audio piece to share with the world.
